The Robb Green Show recently relaunched with a new name and a unique focus that has me very intrigued. While it still features insightful conversations with entrepreneurs and business leaders, its new focus is on practical case studies of small to medium businesses tackling current marketing, business growth, and leadership challenges they are facing. Hearing about these businesses' challenges is incredibly insightful. Robb offers some really practical and timely tips, tailored specifically for 2024.
I really enjoyed this recent episode, From Accidental Freelancer to Entrepreneur. Lots of business owners can use these tips on automation and digital marketing.
As someone who lives in a southern city that very much feels like a northern one surrounded by a bunch of southern ones, Our New South hits HARD.
This is probably cheating because the show has "good" in the title! But this episode of Is This Good? featuring Alana Johnston simply delighted me. It covers a handful of questionable topics, from confronting doppelgängers to intentionally being wrong about grammar to making your Venmo transactions public. I love her mindset (and confusion) on all of the above and the weird foibles that make life so dang entertaining.
Really, the only non-"good" part is that the show isn't available on Pod.link, though you can still find it on just about every other podcast platform.
With the award season upon us, this is the perfect new podcast to listen to! It comes out 01/31 and it's all about empowering independent film distribution. Distribution Advocates Presents demystifies the world of independent film distribution with honest insider stories. How can we better understand what’s happening to the ecosystem and start to create more equitable distribution systems moving forward? Hosted by Avril Speaks, filmmaker and co-founder of Distribution Advocates, this series of conversations examines concerning practices in the industry and explores innovative and sustainable solutions.
Would love to recommend Indecent with Kiki Andersen, now in season 2! It's a hilarious, bold show about finding the funny in the uncomfortable corners of our lives. Emmy-winning journalist-turned-comedian Kiki tackles topics you can't talk about at the dinner table like therapy speak, beauty industry traps, TV representation, and modern dating with Dan Savage of the Savage Lovecast. The season kicks off with a deep dive into the history of Drugs in America, from prohibition to the 21st century, and it is wild!
Kiki is unapologetic, sharp, and an excellent interviewer. I always laugh my butt off when listening, and get a little side of insight. You can really jump in anywhere! Try starting with the first episode of season 2. https://pod.link/1687409567/episode/6a49e45d491cd82a8289bf80d698fe46
