of Tink MediaPodcast: Indecent with Kiki Andersen
Why do you recommend it: It's a hilarious, bold show about finding the funny in the uncomfortable corners of our lives. Emmy-winning journalist-turned-comedian Kiki tackles topics you can't talk about at the dinner table like therapy speak, beauty industry traps, TV representation, and modern dating with Dan Savage of the Savage Lovecast. The season kicks off with a deep dive into the history of drugs in America, from prohibition to the 21st century, and it is wild!
Kiki is unapologetic, sharp, and an excellent interviewer. I always laugh my butt off when listening, and get a little side of insight. You can really jump in anywhere! Try starting with the first episode of season 2.

ofPodcast: Is This Good?
Why do you recommend it: This is probably cheating because the show has "good" in the title! But this episode of Is This Good? featuring Alana Johnston simply delighted me. It covers a handful of questionable topics from confronting doppelgängers to intentionally being wrong about grammar to making your Venmo transactions public. I love her mindset (and confusion) on all of the above and the weird foibles that make life so dang entertaining.

ofPodcast: The Robb Green Show
Why you recommend it: The Robb Green Show recently relaunched with a new name and a unique focus that has me very intrigued. While it still features insightful conversations with entrepreneurs and business leaders, its new focus is on practical case studies of small to medium businesses tackling current marketing, business growth, and leadership challenges they are facing. Hearing about these businesses' challenges is incredibly insightful. Robb offers some really practical and timely tips, tailored specifically for 2024.
I really enjoyed this recent episode, “From Accidental Freelancer to Entrepreneur.” Lots of business owners can use these tips on automation and digital marketing.

This is a shameless plug for my own podcast that I cohost with my friend, Remoy Philip. We explore how gender expectations lead to men "performing masculinity" and how that impacts them in different aspects of their lives. We have fun with the show formats, which are sometimes about music or movies, and sometimes about literature, but the episodes are mostly me catching Remoy up on what's happening in the world since he lives in a bubble of literature and real-life relationships, AWAY from screens. I tend to doom scroll and keep up on pop culture and political happenings, and we look at how patriarchy informs so much of it, usually with awesome guests who share their expertise and experience on a given topic at the intersection of masculinity. We try to make this complicated topic fun and light to listen to!
Separately... I really enjoyed the Dream Blunt Rotation episode of Indecent with Kiki Andersen. Important reminders on how big Pharma are much bigger and badder drug dealers than illegal narcotic traffickers could ever hope to be.

I'm recommending the brand new show, Nightingale of Iran. It's a documentary series created and hosted by sisters Danille and Galeet Dardashti. The sisters set out to uncover a decades-old mystery of why their famous Iranian Jewish relatives left Iran at the height of their fame, and take us along for the journey. It's a musically-rich show that transports us into their lives today and explores the history of a shared culture between Jews and Muslims in a refreshing way. Part mystery, part music history, it's a show that pulls you into the story and makes you wish all 6 episodes were already out.
