ofPodcast: Beyond+
Why do you recommend it: I've been listening to Beyond+ and it's sooooooo important to me as someone who's lost loved ones to HIV. This show connects with young people who are HIV+ and shows that there is a future for them.
I really love this explanation from their site: "We want to know, what is beyond an HIV diagnosis today? What is beyond the clinic? What is beyond adolescence? What is beyond loss? What is beyond graduation? What takes you beyond this moment?" I wish so many people had this podcast sooner. 🥹

, founder of Her Time RomaniaPodcast: In Good Companies
Why do you recommend it: If you're into business podcasts, you should definitely check out In Good Companies from Cadence Bank. Season 6 covers everything about the future of work — AI, ESG, and more — with insights from some really sharp experts. It's perfect if you want solid info in under 30 minutes. Worth a listen if you're trying to stay ahead in business!

ofPodcast: From Now On
Why do you recommend it: From Now On shares stories from survivors of abuse in the entertainment industry. It's hosted by former model and talent scout, Lisa Phillips. She shares not only her own story of her time as a model, but also dives into deeply intimate and vulnerable conversations with others navigating that space.
It's some of the most raw, authentic, and powerful storytelling and conversations I've heard in a long time. I think it's such an important listen not only for those who want to work in entertainment but anyone who is struggling with unhealthy power dynamics, who wants to create safer workplaces for themselves and others, or who wants to better understand the process of healing from trauma. It's a hard but important listen.

Podcast: Comic Sans
Why do you recommend it: Last week I attended NJ Web Fest and met with some of the team from Andas Productions. We got talking about their show Comic Sans. It's a podcast about comics for people with no knowledge about comics.... which makes it pretty much perfect for me, a person who knows next to nothing in that space!
I've been checking out their episodes on comics I've heard about but haven't been able to find an entry point into until now and truly enjoying myself. As a bonus? Their team is based out of Singapore, and it's been a breath of fresh air to get a non-U.S./American viewpoint into the world of comics!

ofPodcast: Chris DeMakes a Podcast
Why do you recommend it: I've recently stumbled into Chris DeMakes a Podcast, hosted by Chris DeMakes from the band Less Than Jake. He interviews other musicians about one of their most popular songs. It's a super cool look into songwriting. You'll learn things like how: Yellowcard's “Ocean Avenue” is really a reference to Ocean Boulevard, but Avenue rhymed better, and how MANY musicians thought what ended up being their biggest hits were nothing special during the recording process.
A smaller "band you should know" gets featured in every episode, and as a bonus feature, Chris will even write a custom song for you — maybe Podcast Plunge listeners can crowdsource lyrics for an Arielle-centric jam? 🤔

Reimagining Us is an upcoming show that comes around at the perfect time considering the tense times we are living in. It's a podcast series set out to understand why we feel divided in order to inspire human connection and repair our sense of community. The show is hosted by behavioral scientist Nichole Argo, the Founder and Director of Research at TogetherUp Institute & Scott Hutcheson, Executive Director of E Pluribus Unum.
It looks very promising and the first episodes launch on Thanksgiving week, making it a much-needed resource to navigate potential family tensions. I'll be tuned in!

Lisa Philips's story sounds remarkably powerful - definitely added that to my queue!
I'd love to recommend Heal Your Guts, Save Your Brain!
Over the past year, I’ve been on a new health journey after dealing with an unexpected illness, and it opened my eyes to how little we really know about the issues we face in our bodies daily. One of the biggest revelations has been the connection between gut health and brain health—a topic that Heal Your Gut, Save Your Brain is all about! Once you hear this podcast, you’ll be amazed at how much you didn’t know about the gut’s role in preventing brain diseases and supporting cognitive health. Dr. Nandi and Kali have done extensive research, and their insights make this podcast an absolute must-listen! https://episodes.fm/1766574418
