Podcast: Talk Easy with Sam Fragoso
Episode: The Making of Tom Hanks
Why: Sam Fragoso once again delivers an in-depth and intimate conversation, only this time with one of the most beloved, greatest actors of all time — Tom Hanks!
Some highlights from the interview are when he talks about the insane experience it was to film “Cast Away” and how Nora Ephron inspired him to become an author himself.

Rough Translation is an absolute classic and it's crazy to think that it's coming to an end. But this last season already knocked it out of the park for me. If you are passionate about cultures, history, people...this is it. The first episode only gives you a glimpse of what's yet to come - the case of the Love Commandos that exposes a much larger story (still to be discovered by the listener). The sound design, the storytelling, the actors involved in piecing this together - LOVE every part of it and can't wait for more.
I've got one I just discovered, and it's so much fun!
Recommender: Melissa Joulwan, host of the Strong Sense of Place podcast
Podcast: Podcast From The Past
Episode: They've Had Sir Harold Acton Stuffed
Why: This show is the podcast branch of the super entertaining Twitter feed Postcard From The Past (which shares vintage postcards along with the messages written on the back). The podcast host Tom Jackson interviews two guests about old postcards that they can't bear to throw away. It's so intimate to hear people talk about what these bits of paper mean to them, and it's an interesting angle on travel. This episode combines memories and mysteries.
